Supported barcode formats
We provide barcode verification results for 2D (PDF417 format) barcodes found on various forms of DMV-issued identification.
- For the United States, we recognize barcodes from all 50 states, along with districts, and outlying territories.
- For Canada, we recognize barcodes from all 10 provinces, and the three territories.
- For Mexico, barcode support is limited. Many Mexican jurisdictions do not use a 2D (PDF417 format) barcode. Contact Intellicheck for details.
Other types of validation
We perform other types of validation for identification documents that do not include a 2D (PDF417 format) barcode, such as OCR match, document liveness, and customer quality checks. See Signal Descriptions.
