Scanner Compatibility

This page summarizes several compatible barcode scanners.

Scanner Requirements

• Image-based scanners must capture color images at 600 DPI minimum resolution. Supported image formats include JPG, PNG, and TIFF.
• Barcode-only scanners must decode 2D (PDF417 format) barcodes.

* Intellicheck can provide configuration barcodes for these models. Configuration is necessary to distinguish between magnetic stripe, 1D, and 2D data.

Configuration

The scanner must be properly configured. Refer to the device vendor for configuration and testing assistance. At a minimum, keep the following points in mind:

1. The scanner must return the barcode as a byte array.
2. Any prefix or suffix characters added by the scanner must be removed prior to sending the data in an API call.
3. Data must be encoded as base64 without further modifications.

Licensing

Intellicheck does not license scanners. You must obtain proper licensing from the device vendor.
