Scanner Compatibility

This page summarizes several compatible barcode scanners.
Scanner Requirements
- Image-based scanners must capture color images at 600 DPI minimum resolution. Supported image formats include JPG, PNG, and TIFF.
- Barcode-only scanners must decode 2D (PDF417 format) barcodes.

Configuration
The scanner must be properly configured. Refer to the device vendor for configuration and testing assistance. At a minimum, keep the following points in mind:
- The scanner must return the barcode as a byte array.
- Any prefix or suffix characters added by the scanner must be removed prior to sending the data in an API call.
- Data must be encoded as base64 without further modifications.
Licensing
Intellicheck does not license scanners. You must obtain proper licensing from the device vendor.
